For the first time since 2005, a UCI
Mountain Bike World Cup is being held in the United States. It gets
underway this weekend with the top off-road athletes from around the
world gathering in Windham, NY for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
finale. Among the top riders will be American standout Willow Koerber
(Durango, Colo./Subaru-Trek), who is currently the third ranked female
in the World Cup standings. She’ll be joined by other top American
riders like Georgia Gould (Ketchum, Idaho/Luna), Todd Wells (Durango, Colo./Specialized), Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (Boulder, Colo./Subaru-Trek), and Adam Craig (Bend, Ore./Giant). In the gravity events, top Americans include Aaron Gwin (Morongo Valley, Calif.) and Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash./Transition Racing).
