As of late the Racersandchasers cross-country events at Vail Lake in Temecula, CA have been invaded by current and former motocross and superbike stars like Ben Bostrom, Mike Bell and Mike Sleeter. Sleeter is even hosting a special mountain bike charity ride to support the Asterisk Mobil Medical Center. The Saturday, December 13 event is for fun, and riders are asked to please make a $30 contribution to AMMC.

Well known for their popular knee braces, in 2000 Asterisk began showing up at motocross races with a portable and fully staffed mini hospital. Today’s Mobile Medical Center is a state-of-the-art health facility with special purpose equipment tailored to the sport. The center travels in a portable hospital that is pulled by a semi truck. At scheduled supercross and motocross events the mobile hospital provides an athletic trainer, physical therapist, registered nurses and two physicians.

Day of the event sign in is at the One Industries motor home that will be parked at the Vail Lake‘s gokart track. The $30 entry includes 1 raffle ticket for prize drawing at the conclusion of the day’s events.
Mike Sleeter and Astricks thanks everyone who has stepped up to make this event fun for all. The list of prizes and events grows daily. As of now Thule , Cytomax, Muscle Milk, Bell Helmets, FMF and Thor will be fully supporting the event with prizes, events and more.

Thor has provided event T shirts that can be purchased at sign-up for $10, all proceeds go to the Asterisk Mobile Medical Center. Vail Lake’s 8 mile loop is for all levels with 90% singletrack and trails that are still in great shape after the recent rains. There is no food available at the event so please make sure you bring plenty of food and water.

Just added is a relay race were the riders on each team are drawn from a hat. This is certain to be one of the event’s highlight, and awards will be handed out to the top three teams.

DECEMBER 3, 2008 SCHEDULE
11a.m-noon: Sign-up
12:30 p.m.: 1 lap group ride, 8 mile loop
2:00 p.m.: Fun relay race (Partner chosen randomly out of a hat)
3:30 p.m.: Raffle
