Temecula, CA

Vail Lake Endurance Series Race Director Jason Ranoa here. In only two weeks and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. November 17 the 12 Hours of Temecula is going off. In case you haven't heard the course will primarily be running backward. For those of you who have competed in our series before, this means the Damn Climb will be the Damn Descent. We have added lots of great singletrack and other new sections. I have already been told by many that this is our best course yet. Lap times have been around an hour.

Tire selection has been Kenda Karma's and Intense System 2's. A 2.0 tire like those have the full volume casing that will help through some softer sections. For more course info check out http://12hrsoftemecula.com/COURSEDESCRIPTIONANDMAPS.html.

Event medals will be handed out to solo and team competitors. Plus a King and Queen of the mountain prize to the first guy and gal to reach the summit on the first lap... Male and female lap prizes for the fastest laps during the race... Fastest junior rider lap for riders below age 16.

Yellow Jerseys will go to the Solo category winners of the three-race Temecula 12 Hour Series. Team champions will earn special team awards.

OTHER 12 HOUR BLING AND PERKS
My goal is to be out on the course all day with $10 to $20 Challenge Tickets. These Challenge Tickets will be in the form of raffle tickets with specific numbers on them. I will be giving them out randomly during the day to riders who I see making some serious efforts out on the course. I am looking to give away between $500 and $1000 in cash during the day.

We will also be auctioning off an Intense Cycles 5.5 medium frame at the race on November 17. All proceeds will be going to Operation Cast A Shadow. For more info on this nonprofit group to help underprivileged kids check out www.castashadow.org.

The Intense 5.5 frame is a beautiful midnight metallic blue. There will be pictures up on the race website www.12hrsoftemecula.com. The bidding will start at $200.

All in all we are looking at over $10,000 worth of cash and prizes to be given away November 17. Prizes include:
*Intense frame
*Siren bicycles frame
*Kenda tires
*Intense Tires
*Vigor Helmets
*Canari Cyclewear
*Nimbus water systems
*Spinergy Wheelset
*Cash and a whole lot more!
