Highlights: The look of the Giant frame alone will keep the 2008 Trance XO on back order. Giant makes its own frames in-house at the Tachia factory in Taiwan, and a lot of pride, passion and technology went into its design. It uses every hydro-forming, extruding and butting trick known to man. There is no such thing as a straight tube on the Giant. Of particular interest is the seat stay that is S-shaped to clear the forward monoshock swingarm brace, the J-shaped top tube that maximizes standover, the massive head tube interface, and the overall attractive shape and distinctive silver-chrome anodized finish.

Best quote: "Giant's Maestro technology epitomizes just how well parallel link suspension can work. The feel of generous bump absorption is always present. Regardless of where the suspension is in its range of travel, the second the rider pedals the crank feels firm under the feet and the Trance XO shoots forward."

Bottom line: Simply put, this is the bike that every trail rider is looking for. From its price, performance and to its style, the 2008 Giant Trance XO is designed to shower its rider with hugs and kisses every time he tackles extreme singletrack.
