Congratulations to Team Sho-Air's Pua Mata for winning the Elite Women's Class at the 2012 La Ruta de Los Conquistadores stage race (full results click here). She decimated the class finishing four hours and 25 minutes ahead of second place. Yes, four hours. That time would have put her in 16th place in the Elite Men's division.

The big news however is Pua was not riding on her long-time Sho-Air Team bike sponsor, Specialized Bikes. Pua was riding a Cannondale. We have already received an invite to a Sho-Air press conference in the middle of this month. Judging from the photos that have surfaced from La Ruta, we have a good idea of what will be officially announced in just a few weeks. We'll keep you posted.

  
Can't say we were surprised that Pua won La Ruta. The girl has been on a mission all year. What did surprise us was the bike she did it on.
