Desert Sports' legendary Terlingua, TX marathon opened up both the USA Cycling Ultra-Endurance Calendar, as well as the 2008 Texas Cross-Country State Mountain Bike Series. It also played triple duty as the fourth event of the Hill Country Bicycle Works Texas Mountain Bike State Championship Marathon Series.
