Two freshly built S-Works Epic 29ers for Supercross stars Ryan Villopoto and Chad Reed on their way to meet their new owners at Anaheim 1.

Specialized Bicycles has been a supporter or motocross athletes for over ten years dating back to Jeremy McGrath's and Ricky Carmichael's careers. In more recent years they have ramped up their support significantly and the red "S" logo can be spotted on helmets and fender decals all over the supercross pits. The day before the opening round of supercross in Anaheim, California, Specialized along with Rock N' Road Cyclery in Laguna Hills put on a ride day to celebrate the start of the supercross season and the comradery between the moto and mountain bike communities. In light of the recent tragic death of Burry Stander, the event also was an opportunity for riders to pay their respects and share memories of their time with Burry.

Along with a host of demo bikes for attendees to shred the trails of Aliso Woods on, there were a few bikes in the truck that were en route for a special delivery in Anaheim: two brand-new, tricked out S-Works Epic 29ers prepped and tuned for none other than supercross champions Ryan Villopoto and Chad Reed. While neither rider had the night they have hoped for on Saturday, we'd like to think having one of these awesome rigs in the garage would help ease the pain just a bit.

Villopoto's S-Works Epic 29er is built up with Roval carbon wheels, Specialized components, RockShox suspension and SRAM's new XX1, 1x11 drivetrain. The green grips and saddle are nice touches to tie with his Monster Energy Kawasaki supercross ride.

Chad Reed's Epic features Fox suspension and a Shimano XTR drivetrain as well as Roval carbon wheels.

Custom fork bridge decal for Chad Reed's new training weapon.
