Known throughout the East for its technical downhill and cross country mountain bike terrain, Sunday River is excited to announce a new trail dedicated to the beginner bike audience. Easy Tiger opens this Friday, July 24, and is part of Sunday River’s six new miles of trail open this summer. Also new this summer is a $7.2 million Chondola bike and passenger transport system, as well as mountain top lunches being served from the North Peak Lodge – perfect for hungry mountain bikers and guests.

“What’s great about this new terrain is that almost every bit of Easy Tiger is hand-sculpted,” said Steve Boulanger, Sunday River Mountain Bike Park Manager. “It’s definitely the easiest way down the mountain and provides beginners with smaller features to learn on and a nice wide trail to ease their bikes down.”
Covering nearly a half of a mile, Easy Tiger trailhead is accessed near the top of the Chondola and features a soft, flowy trail with small features such as rollers, berms, bridges and bench cuts throughout. Its gradual pitch and hand-sculpted turns provide mountain bikers with a great terrain park to learn new mountain bike skills.
