The U.S. Open of Mountain Biking is billed as America's premier mountain bike gravity race. Conveniently located only 45 minutes from New York City, the U.S. Open of Mountain Biking provides up-and-coming athletes with a unique opportunity to compete against the world's elite gravity athletes.

Each year 500 athletes from across the globe make the pilgrimage to Diablo Freeride Park in Vernon, NJ to vie for over $50,000 in cash and prizes and the opportunity to claim the coveted U.S. Open championship title.

The 2008 U.S. Open proved to be the best event to date with various new improvements and additions including: an improved downhill course, a new dual slalom discipline, a bigger and badder cash and prize purse, a RedBull Grudge Match, online webcasting and the ever-popular U.S. Open after party/slideshow.
