SHAKEUP IN ULTRA-ENDURANCE CALENDAR

The fifth race OF THE Mountain Bike Ultra-Endurance Calendar was also the U.S. Marathon Championships which took place in Breckenridge, CO on July 4. Called the Firecracker 50, wins by Jeremiah Bishop (Harrisonburg, VA) and Sari Anderson (Glenwood Springs, CO) earned maximum points that move both up the calendar standings.

With five of nine events completed on the 2008 Mountain Bike Ultra-Endurance Calendar, the current standings are as follows:

2. Nat Ross...Subaru-Gary Fisher...81

3. Evan Plews...ScottUSA-CSC...70

4. Michael McCalla...ScottUSA...65

5. Tinker Juarez...MonavieCannondale...60

The next event on the Mountain Bike Ultra-Endurance Calendar will be the marathon race at the Galena Grinder on July 26 in Ketchum, ID.
