Pua Sawicki Cracks Top Ten At The Worlds

Pua Sawicki (Yucaipa, Calif./Ellsworth) became one of the only Americans ever to land inside the top 10 at the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships on Sunday, August 23, 2009. Sawicki finished seventh, 17:14.2 behind World Champion Sabine Spitz (GER) on the 52-mile course in Stattegg, Austria. Her American teammate Heather Holmes (Park City, Utah) came in 25th out of the more than 50 female competitors. Harlan Price (Philadelphia, Pa./Independent Fabrication) pulled off an 87th place finish on the men’s side.
