Kyle Strait surprised many in the mountain bike world when he won
the dual slalom contest at last year's Sea Otter Classic. The talented
young rider first came to prominence when he won the dirt jumping
competition at the Sea Otter Classic in 2001, beating the top pros in
the world while still only 13 years old, mere days before his 14th
birthday. He won the Red Bull Rampage in Oct. 2004 at the age of 17.
