Can you name all three of these Luna riders? They were three of
the most dominant racers in mountain biking. The one on the left is Katerina
Hanusova Nash, of the Czech Republic. The one in the center is 2001 UCI
World Champion Alison Dunlap. The one at right in Shonny Vanlandingham.
Together, they ruled women's cross-country racing in the U.S. for
years and helped put the Luna Team on the map. Still active, Katerina
raced for the Czech Olympic team this past summer, but she's married to
an American guy and lives in the U.S. most of the year. Alison puts on
riding clinics nowadays. Shonny races in the Xterra series, where she's
been one of the top triathletes in the world for years, even winning the Xterra
World Championship in 2010 at age 41. On the side, she grows coffee
beans in Hawaii, where she lives most of the year.
