The summer heat is gone and the winter storms haven't hit yet so you know what that means. It is the perfect time to road trip to Hurricane, Utah, and sample the area's epic riding. We just got back from testing on Gooseberry Mesa and the Guacamole Trail where conditions are ideal. Click here to check on current weather conditions.
If you need more info, grab your July 2013 issue of Mountain Bike Action
(you do keep them all, don't you?) and find out why we love this place so much. Or, click here and watch our video of the place.
The Goose is a playground for mountain biking and also a great place to test equipment. If a frame, wheel or suspension design has a weakness, you will find it riding here. The Salsa Spearfish
showed no weakness.
The Guacamole Trail is about 70% routed on slickrock. This place has a totally different feel than Gooseberry so you need to ride both places on your visit.
Pat Carrigan, who does all the photo treatments on the pages of Mountain Bike Action, takes a break from riding Gooseberry. Pat is also the guy who put together our video of the Goose.
The riding is so fun that you have to remind yourself to stop and enjoy the views.
After a long day of riding the tight and technical singletrack of Gooseberry Mesa, it is a treat to enjoy the last rays of sunlight while riding the dirt road back to your campsite. Go. You will not be sorry. Over The Edge Sports
is located at the gateway to all the fun. Rim Tours
offers a 3-day escape to the Goose.

You do get this close to the edge at Gooseberry.

From another angle, still just as crazy.
