MAY MOUNTAIN BIKE CALENDAR UPDATE

The Mountain Bike Cross-Country Calendar continued as Jeff Schalk (Washington, DC) of the Trek VW squad took the first spot at the Greenbrier Challenge. Theresa Richardson (Davidsonville, MD) earned the women's title. Richardson rides for Sobe Cannondale.

The next events on the Mountain Bike Cross-Country Calendar will be the Stump Jump 2008 in Spartanburg, SC and the Santa Ynez Valley National in Los Olivios, CA on May 18.
 
GRAVITY
The second event on the Mountain Bike Gravity Calendar, the Chalk Creek Stampede, took place in Nathrop, CO. Both the dual slalom and 4-cross contests were a part of the calendar, with Aaron Gwin (Morongo Valley, CA) taking the dual slalom crown and Petr Hanak (Winter Park, CO) winning the 4-cross event. The women's standings also got cranked up  with Joanna Petterson (Folsom, CA) winning both the 4-cross and dual slalom contests.

ULTRA-ENDURANCE
The 12 hour race at Dirt, Sweat and Gears marked the third contest on the 2008 Mountain Bike Ultra-Endurance Calendar. Tinker Juarez (Downey, CA) took first prize in the men's event and Monique Sawicki (Millani, HI) won the women's class.
