The next stop of the Kenda Cup Qualifiers, a national network of US Cup races that qualify racers for the Specialized Invitational Shootout in September comes to sweet home
Alabama this weekend.
The Bump N Grind event has been a staple on the Southern race circuit and celebrates sweet sixteen this weekend. The Pelham, Alabama race course is one of the best around and is a must attend event for anyone who loves to ride single track under a shaded canopy of trees.
The traditional seventeen mile loop, offers some of the funniest single track found anywhere, and with legendary sections like "Blood Rock", still gives racers a bit of technical riding to keep them on their toes.
Riders can thank the dedicated Bump N Grind trail crew for all the sweet trails at Oak Mountain State Park. With a dedicated staff of volunteers, trails at the State Park are ever expanding, as they put in hundred of man hours each year to maintain and improve the trail network.
As a Kenda Cup Qualifier, riders at the BNG event will also enjoy additional swag, courtesy of US Cup series sponsors. The first 250 riders to pre register for the event get a Kenda Grab back, packed with an event T-Shirt, and quality product from series sponsors. Racers will also get custom awards that go five deep in each category courtesy of Baghouse Industrial team.

Race director Corbin Camp is excited to work with the US Cup, the second year the two groups have been affiliated. "The staff at the US Cup has been great to work with. With all the extra goodies, marketing and Swag, it makes a good event even better," comments Camp.
"You couldn't find a more dedicated group of people than the Bump N Grind staff," comments Ty Kady, US Cup marketing director. "When they decided not to host a UCI event this year, it was a no brainer for us to support the event. Were hoping the amateurs like the T-shirts, custom awards and product supplied by our series sponsors. I've ridden Bump last year, and it's on my top ten places to ride and race, it's really cool and the southern hospitality is top notch!"
The Bump N Grind event takes place over two days, starting on June 5th and 6th.
