Southridge bridesmaid: National Champ Adam Craig had a weekend of seconds: 2nd in the cross-country, 2nd in the short track, and then 2nd in the weekend's culminating Super D.

 

Pro Men's Cross-Country winner and defending Norba Champ Geoff Kabush has proven to be unbeatable at the Fontana Norba National Mountain Bike Series opener. After sitting in the first couple of laps Kabush dropped the hammer midway through the 2-hours-plus race and put a huge gap on the field. National Champ Adam Craig closed the gap back up just a bit before the end, but it was clear Kabush was not going to be beaten today. Kabush is now 3-for-3 at Southridge; he's won every Norba race there since the inaugural 2006 event.

 

Norba Champ Georgia Gould immediately threw down the gauntlet in her race, and led from start to finish. Georgia has won every Norba National for the past 365 days. Her unbeatable April Fool's win streak began with the April 1, 2007 Nova Norba National XC win.
