We learned this morning that a long-time friend of Mountain Bike Action and mechanic to the stars, Johnny Roy Bottema, has passed away after a long illness that the guy fought hard against for years. All our prayers and positive thoughts are with Johnny and his family. Godspeed, old friend. We will miss you, but never forget you.
Johnny Roy was most recently featured in our March 2012 Down The Trail column. The bike was a project bike he built to blow peoples' minds. It worked.
