Jagwire is partnering with the Mafia Racing Team to help support the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) National Trail Fund. All proceeds from sales of Jagwire’s new limited edition 2011 Mafia Plaid Ripcord Derailleur kit will be donated to IMBA.
According to James Alberts, Jagwire marketing manager, profits from the 200 kits will fund almost an entire trail construction project. The Mafia Plaid kit will be sold exclusively through the Mafia Racing Team and IMBA websites.
“The Pabst-Felt-Mafia Racing Team and the Team IMBA program are truly honored to be a part of such a cool project, said David Janowiec, spokesman for the Mafia Racing Team. “We’re very excited to work with Jagwire on a project that directly benefits the mountain biking community.

I give them all the credit for orchestrating such a great idea, and helping raise funds for IMBA.” Janowiec added that he and his teammates are very pleased with the collaboratively developed derailleur kits. “I’m stoked on the final product, it’s an amazing limited edition piece,” he said.
"Our partnership with Mafia Racing provided us the opportunity to create something that plays to our strengths,” said Alberts. “We produced a small batch of colorful housing that helps the Mafia Racing Team and 200 lucky IMBA members express themselves through their bikes. More importantly, we’re helping to create more trails.”
