IMBA's Subaru Trail Crew to Visit San Francisco

IMBA is coming to San Francisco, CA, Apr. 4-5, and you're invited to join in the special events. Inga Beck and Jason Van Horn of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew are teaming up with the SF Urban Riders for a weekend dedicated to improving local trails and having fun.The visit features a Trailbuilding School and a group ride. This is your opportunity to rub shoulders with the IMBA Crew while learning all about trailbuilding. Check out the details below and come join in the fun.

SCHEDULE:

Saturday:

8:45 - 9:00 AM: Check in and breakfast; coffee and tea will be donated by NOAH's Bagels.
9:15 - 11:45 AM: Trail Building School classroom session in City Lights Room on UCSF Parnassus Campus
Noon - 12:30 PM: Lunch in Woods Parking Lot, hosted by UCSF - local pizza with water and soft drinks
12:45 - 4:30 PM: Trailbuilding School field session on Mount Sutro East Ridge. Snacks courtesy of Clif Bar.
End of day: tool clean up and post-work celebration hosted by SF Urban Riders & Beach Chalet Brewery with refreshments and snacks.

All gloves and tools will be provided by the Mount Sutro Stewards. We strongly encourage wearing work clothes with long sleeves and full pants.

Sunday:
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: IMBA Trail Ride at McLaren Park. Meet at Geneva Skate Park near Crocker Amazon Soccer fields. SF Urban Riders and the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew will lead a casual group ride on select trails of McLaren Park, Including an extended recreational loop that leaves the park utilizing Multi Use trail, bike path, and paved road. There will also be information to share about SFUR's proposal to create a bike skills complex in certain areas of McLaren Park. The ride will be a casual 14-18 miles, but require a good effort. Mountain or Cyclocross style bike strongly recommended.

What to bring: layers of clothing dependent on weather, water and snacks. This is a FREE ride.
