The Fat Tire 40 confirmation riders are receiving from active.com says the race is on the 25th. This is INCORRECT - IT IS THE 26th. We apologize for the technical glitch!
In case you did not know - there is the Fat Tire 40 and the Wildcat 40. They will both use the same course. The Fat Tire 40 is in conjunction with the Mtn. States Cup series, and it will be the official race for the Pro Men, Pro Women, and Cat 1 Men doing the MSC series. If you are not in one of these USA Cycling categories, then sign up for the Wildcat 40, which will be similar to last year. The Wildcat is the category to choose if you are not racing for MSC points...The Wildcat Open classes will be broken down into age groups for prizes and podiums (just like last year)!
The cost is a bit higher this year, but that's for good reason. Timing, permits, logistics - there's a lot involved... Also, please remember that you Wildcat folks will need to get a one day license from USA cycling. You can pick-up this license and your plates on Friday evening or Saturday morning on the mountain.
Sign up soon - the MSC racers will be hitting registration hard next week, and the race WILL sell out! Note that all riders must complete online registration by Thursday the 24th at 10am in order to avoid an onsite registration fee of $10.
If you haven't already, then check out Crank Collective for the course by clicking here.
