We showed you photos of a prototype FSA brake in our Sea Otter coverage but were not able to give you any details except for speculation. Well, the speculation is over with this news from FSA
These are FSA
's K-Force and Afterburner models for cross-country race and trail applications.
Utilizing both tool-free stroke and reach adjustments, these brakes can be set-up, on-the-fly for a wide range of responsiveness and hand sizes. These brakes are offered with front and rear specific hoses. The flip flop lever features a integrated asymmetrical reservoir making them compact on the handlebar and easy to bleed. You can also swap sides if you run your brakes "moto" style.
The brakes include magnesium castings, carbon composite levers, and titanium hardware. Claimed weight is 10.6 ounces per side. The two models will sell for $369 (K-Force) and $289 (Afterburner) and will be available in early 2014.
The global Launch will take place during both Eurobike and Interbike, but you saw them first here.
