The Norba National Series, also known as the National Mountain Bike Series or simply NMBS, began March 30 at Fountain Hills, AZ (McDowell Mtn.). More events were held at Los Olivos, CA (Firestone); Fontana, CA (Southridge); Angel Fire, NW; Park City, UT (Deer Valley); Banner Elk, NC (Sugar Mtn); and Snowmass Village, CO. Seven races total, six of which hosted cross-country and short track events. There were a total of five Super D, five
downhill, and five 4-Cross (or Dual Slalom) events. In each racing discipline riders were allowed to drop their lowest result leading up to the Snowmass finale; Colorado was a must-do race, and the result counted no matter what.
