Dial In Your Seat Tube Angle While You Ride

Since 2012 is rapidly coming to a close, we decided to start taking a look back at things we saw that didn't make it to the magazine, but definitely deserve a look. This one is a concept from Arc Bikes that allows you to change the seatpost angle of the bike's frame while you are riding.

While we see what the Arc sets out to accomplish (in a fairly complicated fashion), mountain bikers move around a lot on the saddle while riding (far more than say a roadie) and we would imagine that this amount of fore-aft sliding is enough to position the rider's weight for climbing, descending and just hauling along. Still, we'd like to try the bike on a familiar test loop. Don't expect to see an Arc in a bike shop near you very soon. You can click here to read more about them.
