This is Alex Pro. Just doin a little update on the Red Bull Rampage that took place in Virgin, Utah,USA this October. It was the first Rampage since 2004 when I went to watch after I had just started freeriding.
This time I was there as a competitor. Pretty Cool for me.

Everything went pretty well for me, I rode
strong all weekend and had a ton of fun riding in Utah. It was my
first time riding there. We got delayed on a day of practice due to the
rain and some flash flood warnings out in the desert. The red clay just gets totally unrideable. So we had a day of hanging out at the Ranch I was staying at with our mechanic and manager, Mike Rothdram.

My dad, Tom Pro, made it out to watch with the Gravity Logic crew who were all working "kinda" nearby in Winter Park, Colorado on another new Bike Park!. They drove 8 hours to come to see Rampage and support us.
It was good for them to take a look at what the level has risen to in the riding. Everyone is pulling some sick moves out there.

After it rained, the conditions were perfect. It got all moist and stuff and we could actually
pack our landings so they were firm, in some places like dirt jumps . I rode my DH bike with a 888, I
felt that the triple crowns were the fork of choice for Rampage and my 09 DH
bike is pretty sweet too, it was also the ideal bike of my choice. I was really
liking that bike on the course.

I rode a good run exactly as I had planned. Landed my superman near the bottom and rode the hard line that Mike R and I worked on for 2 days. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up advancing to the finals, but I finished 19th. It was my first year at Red Bull Rampage, and I was pretty stoked just to be out there and ride the utah scene with all the other amazing riders.

Gee and Dan Atherton and Cedric Gracia from Commencal were all there too. Gee had a sick line picked out for the final, but broke his collarbone. Cedric also killed it. He finished 7th. It was an experience for sure, and a good way to end the season for Commencal and Marzocchi., Target,Shimano,FSA,Oakley,Giro, WTB and MRP.
The riding scene is almost over for the season here in whistler and its rapidly turning into ski
season, but I'm getting in as much time as I can before the snow falls in the valley.

My Commencal/Marzocchi teammate Brendan "Howey" and I have been riding alot in the airdome at Whistler ,he comes
up on weekends so we can get quite a bit of time in there this winter getting ready for next season!

Thanks for everything looking forward to next year!

Alex Pro
