While America's best duked it out at the U.S. Nationals in Sonoma, CA, Aussies Jared Graves and Justin Leov invaded Colorado. Since yetis are born in Colorado, it seemed fitting that these Yeti speedsters would represent at the Colorado State Championships. The Blast the Mass at Snowmass Village was also the 5th race of the Mountain States Cup Series.
Graves is the 2005 National Mountain Bike Series Downhill and Mountaincross Champion. Leov is the 2003 New Zealand National Champ.

The mountaincross course is long, fast and flowy, with lofty jumps, awesome berms and usable passing lines. Not that anyone had the chance to pass Graves, because the NMBS Champ snapped every gate and led from start to finish in every heat. Local hero Ross Milan (and part time Yeti-Fox racer) was right on Graves' wheel to take the state title.
The Snowmass downhill rips wide open ski runs and dives through insanely fast tree sections. With average speeds over 40 mph, the pro men were moving. Graves came in second 0.24 seconds behind Chris Del Bosco from Vail. Justin Leov finished 0.51 seconds behind Graves to take third.
