CHANGE OF DATE FOR '06 NORBA NATIONAL OPENER


USA Cycling announced today a change in the previously announced 2006 National Mountain Bike Schedule. The opening round at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, CA that was originally scheduled for May 5-7 has been rescheduled for April 22-23, 2006.

Now it means that if Southridge does hold the gravity portion of the SoCal National date, it will be on a weekend that no longer conflicts with the World Cup DH/4X opener in Spain. Southridge race promoter Don Jackson is still negotiation with Norba on the tentative plan.

The rest of the six-race NMBS series remains unchanged:

July 20-23: U.S. MTB Nationals...Mammoth Lakes, CA
August 5-6: NMBS 5-Brian Head Resort...Brian Head, UT
August 12-13: NMBS 6-Snowmass Resort...Aspen, CO
