On Saturday, May 6, 2006, the Susquehanna Valley Velo Club (SVVC) is hosting the 4th Annual Cat Classic Mountain Bike race at Logue Farm, located in Northern Lycoming County in Cascade, PA. The Susquehanna Valley Velo Club is a local road and mountain bike club based in nearby Williamsport.
Woolrich is a local company that is the oldest and finest maker of outdoor and sportsman recreation clothing. They are supporting the 2006 Cat Classic and are considering increased mountain bike sponsorship for the future.
The course will be challenging for beginners and experts alike. The scenic terrain of Logue Farm is a mountain bikers paradise. Beautiful singletrack winds through the woods, there's doubletrack on rolling flats, plus plenty of technical sections. Of all the downhills on the layout, one is designed to create a special thrill. It's called Chutes and Ladders Downhill because racers may need one or the other to reach the bottom.
The most unique feature of the course is the start/finish. The race starts at, and finishes in, the Cat Barn. It is a huge structure that houses the world renowned collection of antique Caterpillar Tractors owned by George Logue. It is one of the largest collections in the world.

The course will also pass by an antique sawmill restored by Thomas Logue. Champion sled dogs owned by Mary Beth Logue will bark as you race past their dog houses. Bob Logue's kids will watch you pass their house, the same historical structure that was originally owned by their great grandfather. Joe Logue may be on his front porch as you pass by his pond. What Joe will be looking over is one of the most beautiful vistas in Lycoming County. You might have a chance to glance over at it too, sheer moments before you drop down Shoots and Ladders.
The Cat Classic is the perfect event to start the season.
