Team captain David Stowell tells us that the new team uniforms will have the similar blue, orange and white look, but of course with a new shop name. It's Cal Coast Bicycles, 3020 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116; (619) 281-7433. Formerly the location of USA Bikes and Performance, fresh owner Charlie Skerlecz had operated Cal Coast Bicycles as an independent shop for the past two years. Charlie has been in the bicycle business for 18 years. His shop specializes in high-end mountain bikes as well as a large selection of road and family bikes.

GREG ALEXANDER, Semi-pro: Consistent finishes at National Mountain Bike Series #1 in Fontana, as well as the Sagebrush Safari and Bonelli Park California State Cross-Country Championship events. When he isn't working in the construction industry Greg is committed to doing what it takes to step it up one more notch. Greg is Intense-mounted.
DAVE ORTEGA, Expert 55-59: Sales Manager. Raced everything in SoCal in 2006, with podiums at most races, including Sagebrush, Southridge, Rim Nordic, and AmCup. Overall winner of his expert class at Southridge Winter Series. Second overall at Rim Nordic. Finished 2nd in California State Series. Racing a Specialized Epic.
ROB BERNHARD, Expert 50-54: 2006 NORBA National Mountain Bike Series Marathon Champion; 2006 U.S. Marathon National Champion. Has raced and ridden bicycles throughout the world, with 20+ years of racing experience. Clinical Research Project Manager. Racing a Giant.
GARNER PALENSKE, Expert 45-49: Racing since 1990. Excellent sport results in 2005 with numerous podiums. Made the leap to Expert for 2006 and has been consistently increasing performance. Finished 9th in California State Series. Steady improvement brings him into 2007 as a very promising prospect. VP in engineering firm. Racing a Giant.
JEFF HINES, Expert 45-49: Excellent endurance and cross-country racer. When things slow down enough at the painting company he owns, Jeff's focused approach has put him ahead of the best class riders in SoCal. He races a Specialized.
BILL SCHREIBER, Expert 50-54: One of our most accomplished racers with an extensive history in quality finishes as well as our most important and consistent lead co title sponsor. Racing an Ellsworth.

Finished 2nd overall in sport class CA State Championship series. Sport
class overall winner of Rim Nordic, Southridge and Triple Crown Race
series. Moving up to expert for 2007. Racing an Ellsworth.
LEE MCEACHERN, Sport 49-50: Environmental engineer. Dominated the
beginner class in 2006 and will be racing sport in 2007.
TOM GABEHART, Sport 49-50: US Navy Submarine Production Officer. Many podium finishes in 2006. Also
injured in 2006, and a full comeback expected. Racing a Giant.
KAREN VIDALES, Sport 35-39: Back into racing after some time off. Karen
is training hard with an eye on coming back stronger than ever. We
expect excellent results from her.
GREG BURCHELL, Sport 30-34: Has raced as a pro in mountaincross and
motocross. New to the team, Greg is looking forward to some
cross-country racing aboard a single speed.
COURTNEY COWAN, Sport 25-29: S
DSU Graduate student. New to mountain bike racing and is already having
good results. Racing a Giant.
RYAN GOLDMAN, Sport 45-49: New to mountain bike racing and doing well
enough to move up to Sport. Racing an Ellsworth.
Many of the returning riders are the ones who earned the old title
sponsor the 2005 Rim Nordic Team Champions Trophy.
