Beginning September 22 the legendary annual Bootleg Canyon OutDoor Demo kicks off a week of Interbike's Las Vegas industy-only bike exposition. At the show, we will broadcast the best and latest on www.mbaction.com, and the print magazine coverage will hit the stands in early November. To give you a preview of the action, mbaction.com is running a series of 2009 sneak peeks. Today, we take a look at a selection of Commencal's 2009 lineup with some comments by company founder Max Commensal. To find a Commencal dealer near you, hit up http://www.bti-usa.com/public/adp_dealers/2

ABSOLUT-CHROMO
COMMENCAL ABSOLUT: "The CrMo, is the most dirt- and street-specific bike of the Absolut range. It can be banged around a town center, launched off dirt jumps, or carved around a skate park, and on the very next day taken straight to the World Cup 4-Cross checkers."

COMBI-DELUXE
COMMENCAL COMBI DELUXE: "By overwhelming demand the Combi platform is once again reporting for duty in the 2009 Commencal catalog. In our hardtail range, it’s the rugged adventurer of the group."

FURIOUS-GC
COMMENCAL FURIOUS: "The Furious was designed by the legendary Cedric Gracia. Hence it is named after his marketing company: Furious Agency. The frame weighs 3.7kg/8.1lbs (without shock), placing it among the lightest 7” travel frames on the market."

META55-2
COMMENCAL META5.5: "The Meta 5.5 is probably the most versatile bike in our 2009 range. Conceived for the most demanding all-mountain riders, this 5.5" suspension bike has numerous wins to its name, in both Enduro and Marathon Downhill events."

META6-3
COMMENCAL META6: The Meta 6 is the bike that Remy Absalon rode to the current European Marathon Downhill Championship title."

NORMAL-DISC
COMMENCAL NORMAL DISC: "For 2009 we have decided to improve the Normal hardtail line and their fun factor has been increasing by radically sloping the top tube, reducing the height of the seat tube, and substantially lowered the standover."

SKIN-1
COMMENCAL SKIN: "The flagship Skin is a high-end cross-country bike. We designed the shape of the Skin to take into account specific characteristics of carbon fiber. Using carbon on pure, uncomplicated shapes gives it unparalleled performance."

SUPER4.3
COMMENCAL SUPER4.3: "This bike marks the most affordable version of our new 4" marathon XC platform. The front triangle of the Super 4 is built around two 'closed' triangles, a gauge of reliability and rigidity."

SUPERNORMAL
COMMENCAL SUPERNORMAL: "The Supernormal is our original sport bike. Fresh out of the crate it won Roc d’Azur back in 2000, and since then it has remained in our line as a light, reliable and comfortable bike to tour the singletrack of the world with.

SUPREME-1
COMMENCAL SUPREME: "The new 6.3" Supreme line of bikes replaces the 2008 Mini DH. It inherits the same genes as the 2009 Supreme DH. It adopts the new Contact System rear suspension, a lowered center of gravity, and a more sloping top tube."

SUPREME.DH-TEAM
COMMENCAL SUPREME DH TEAM: "On the all new Supreme DH Commencal uses a longer, 9.5" shock to give a full 8" of rear wheel travel. The bottom bracket width has been increased from 68mm to 83mm. Its new tubeset has been reconfigured to drop the top tube and lower the entire center of gravity of the chassis by a full inch.
