The Crossover Challenge is comprised of 24 action sport athletes and celebrities. They compete on a professional THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series track on the same January 29 night that Ricky Carmichael and Chad Reed will be racing. Each Crossover rider will be mounted on identical Suzuki DRZ 110s. The 24 riders will be broken down into eight teams of three riders each. A grand prize of $1000 will be awarded to the winning team who will donated it to the charity of their choice.
The Suzuki Crossover Challenge moved from Southern California to the bay area to pay tribute to the inaugural Dew Action Sports Tour stop at HP Pavilion in San Jose on September 8-11, 2005. The Dew Action Sports Tour is the first ever professional action sports tour.
