We are suckers for concept cars. They may never be made or the production version can be so watered-down that it shares few similarities with the "concept." Still, a concept sometimes turns out to be the vehicle of your dreams. The Mini Beachcomber is from BMW and the German company feels it would find a warm place in mountain bikers' hearts.

The four-wheel drive, Gooseberry-Mesa-ready Mini Beachcomber would have no trouble finding its way to any trail head.

Don't just sit there. Take off the wetsuit and go ride.

BMW explains that the Beachcomber has "single seats at the rear that allow appropriate adjustment of transport capacities for all needs. In practice, this means that the driver and passengers are able to conveniently stow even bulky sports equipment such as mountain bikes or wakeboards securely held in position by special fastening systems."
