Xterra's Iceman Cometh Challenge starts in Kalkaska from the middle school and finishes 27 miles later in Traverse City, Michigan. This was the 16th annual Iceman, and it ran in untypically global-warmed course conditions. With $23,200 in cash and $10,000 in merchandise, the great weather and good race vibe drew out National Champs, along with over 2000 other thrill seekers.
