1. SUNDAY RIDE
Says John Adams Cyclery, "The 10 a.m. ride meets at the Lake View Golf Course. Former expert Dave Bender starts out on his land and accesses the best singletrack in the area. This is a harder paced ride with up to five." Town: Girard. Contact: (814) 833-0430.

3. PRESQUE STATE PARK

4. JOHN ADAMS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT
"We kick this 6 p.m ride off in May. There are 10 to 15 people who switch off every week between Penn State Behrend and Asbury Woods. The trail is rooty, hilly singletrack. Most riders are on hardtails with Fire XC Pros." Town: Erie. Contact: (814) 833-0430.

5. GATTO URBAN

6. SNITGER'S BICYCLE STORE

7. GATTO CYCLE SHOP
"We go out two weekday evenings per week," says Manager Andrew Crumpler. "If it's an evening ride we usually go to North Park. It's a 12 mile loop of double- and singletrack with lots of sections of hidden singletrack offshoots. Town: Wexford. Contact: (724) 934-9330.

8. SUNDAY RIDES

12. WEEKEND RIDES
Bavington is mostly rolling singletrack. It's a great hardtail and single-speed spot. Hartwood Acres has much more technical terrain. Moraine is very rocky. The latter two favor bikes with dual travel. Town: Tarentum. Contact: (724) 224-9256.

13. DIRTY HARRY'S
"Typically it's Wednesday and Friday after we close at 6 p.m. Expect a 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hour trek around the local trails, all singletrack with a few connecting trails. On a 1-10 difficulty scale it rates right up in the 8 range. Town: Verona. Contact: (412) 828-2667.

14. PITTSBURG OFF ROAD CYCLIST

16. DIRTY HARRY'S BEGINNER

17. DIRTY HARRY'S WOMEN'S ONLY

18. DIRTY HARRY'S NORTH SHORE
"We'll tell you were the secret North Shore stuff is. Two miles above us there is a DH course. It's a 500 foot run that's so tough you need to be about your witts to just get down it. There are a lot of steep chutes by the river." Town: Verona. Contact: (412) 828-2667.

19. GATTO CYCLE SHOP

20. SUNDAY AT GATTO'S
"This ride meets 4 p.m. at the shop. We usually pick a riding area up to an hour away. Although it isn't too rocky, Brady's Run is a pretty rough spot to ride. It has a lot of steep climbs and really cool downhills." Town: Pittsburgh." Contact: (412) 731-9200.

21. DH FREERIDING

22. POWERLINES

23. NORTH SHORE
"We also go to Hartwood acres," continues Matt. "You'll find a lot built-up stuff with up to 12 foot drops. "It also has some real steep natural terrain. Southpark is not real technical, but has fun, fast riding. Town: Pittsburgh. Contact: (412) 731-9200.

24. ROAD TRIP
Says Matt, "If you practice downhill at Snowshoe (WV), you are going to do good wherever you race. There are beginner and pro courses. We do trips there as often as we can. When we're not riding, we're doing community activism." Town: Pittsburgh. Contact: (412) 731-9200.

25. PRO BICYCLES

26. BAVINGTON RIDE
Pittsburgh Pro Bicycles tells us about this Wednesday night ride that meets out at the Bavington State Game Lands. Ride size gets up to 20 riders. It's a harder ride with a very quick pace. The fast singletrack covers beautiful landscape. Town: Pittsburgh. Contact: (412) 521-2453.

27. TRM CYCLE
Tom Mantle tells, "We usually go 9 a.m. Sunday. Call beforehand for the specific meeting locations." Once you become a trusted regular, TRM might even clue you in to one of their secret ride spots. Town: Pittsburg. Contact: (412) 343-6885.

28. WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA FIELD INSTITUTE
"These guys do rides through different area parks every Thursday," tells TRM Cycle. The ride starts a 6:30 p.m. from Riverview Park. Expect a comfortable pace and be preppared to head head to a nearby eater afterwards. Town: Pittsburg. Contact: (412) 343-6885.

29. CYCLESPORT AND SKI

31. TRADING POST

34. SPEED GOAT

35. SPEED GOAT'S BIG THREE
Meet 5 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m. Saturday and noon Sunday in the big parking lot at the top of the mountain. It's mostly singletrack with moderate climbing. But the rocks and overall difficulty make it some of the nastiest stuff around. Town: Laughlintown. Contact: (888) 545-4628.

36. BLUE KNOB DOWNHILL/BLACK-DIAMOND

69. BRISK AND BREEZY

70. BIKE TO BRUNCH

71. HALLOWEEN HAUNT

88. JB MOUNTAIN BIKES

93. BEGINNER'S RIDE

99. WOMEN ONLY AND URBAN

100. BIKE LINE
Merle Whitehead: "There's weekly rides at Wissahickon Park. It's challenging, but not as technical as High Rocks (Ralph Stover). The rocky, rooty, steep terrain is super tough. We're looking to build MTBing up in this area." Town: Doylestown. Contact: (215) 348-8015.

101. DOWNINGTOWN TRESTLE BRIDGE
Bike Line meets 6 p.m. Wednesday at Trestle Bridge. It's a traditional XC ride on steep, technical, 12 mile loops of singletrack. Up to 20 riders and a moderate-plus pace. Town: Downingtown. "You can ride for two hours and never hit the same loop twice." Contact: (610) 436-8984.

102. EXTON BICYCLES

105. BREAKTHROUGH TRAINING
This road meet is the big area training ride. Meet at 9 a.m. sharp Saturday at Willowdale Shopping Center on 82 and 926th. It's a 35 to 50 mile, hilly, "good paced ride with up to 40 riders. Town: West Chester. Contact: (610) 436-8984.

106. BEAN'S BIKES
"Our ride leaves Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. sharp from the Trestle Bridge Office park," says shop owner Sean Westby. "It's a hard A-ride, whith a lot of us aboard single-speeds. The gearies will follow us up in a second group." Town: Paoli. Contact: (610) 640-9910.
