Asheville offers mountain biking course for kids: Showing a progressive attitude and thinking outside the baseball diamond, Fletcher Parks and Recreation will offer a Mountain Bike Program for ages 11-15 running Tuesday through May 15. Participants will meet 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at different parks, such as Fletcher, Jackson and Patton parks, to learn about controlled braking, maintenance/repair, uphill/downhill riding, jumping, trail safety, basic wilderness navigation and more.
