Angel Fire Extends Park’s Schedule Due to Popularity
Just halfway into the summer season at the Angel Fire Bike Park, located in Angel Fire, New Mexico, the resort is seeing record visitor turnout with attendance up 100% from this time last summer. The Bike Park went through a major expansion and improvement during the off-season to create trails that would appeal to riders of all levels and now turnout for the mountain is far exceeding the Resort’s attendance goal. The Angel Fire team credits the great weather, the early season opening day and the affordability for the great turnout.
“Our improvements have made all the difference with the turn out as well. We’re seeing more first-time riders, more families and a lot more kids up here trying out the sport.”
Angel Fire has had clear conditions, cooler temperatures and very little precipitation all adding up to a record turnout season. With the growing numbers, the Bike Park will expand its daily hours, offering riders an additional hour of riding each day. The Bike Park will be open from 9-5, seven days a week. The park has also just opened a new cross-country only loop called Enlightenment.

With the growth in first time riders the park is also offering the Feather Package for those who are new to the sport. The package includes a lesson, two-hour guided ride, bike and equipment rental and a lift ticket.
Next on the agenda for the Angel Fire Bike Park is the 2nd annual Free-ride Festival August 19 and 20. The festival is a non-racing event that allows all riders to come check out the trails. The festival also includes free activities and movies for attendees. For more information Angel Fire Bike Park.
