Into their second exciting season, The Alison Dunlap Adventure Camps, partnered with Western Spirit Cycling, have recently released the dates for the 2004 season. Many changes await campers, including revised itineraries, rides, and menu.
The Alison Dunlap Adventure Camps, held in picturesque Moab, Utah, are five-day exclusive mountain bike camps offering cyclists the opportunity to get away from it all and sharpen their skills with one of sport's most accomplished and respected riders. Participants are treated to a variety of experiences, including daily rides with Alison Dunlap, exceptional guides and friendly staff, incredible cuisine, daily massages, bike handling clinics, product samples and demonstrations, and evening seminar topics to include nutrition and wellness, hydration, bike safety and maintenance, terrain etiquette, and racing skills. Mechanics will be on site to attend to any equipment needs.
Since beginning her cycling and racing career in 1988, Dunlap, a Colorado native, has earned eleven national titles, two World Cup wins and consistent places on several U.S. World Championship teams. One of the sport's most multi-talented athletes, Dunlap has left her mark on the international mountain bike, road cycling and cyclocross scenes. After competing at two Olympics (1996 and 2000), she reached the pinnacle of her career to date in 2001 when she captured her first world title.
Participants have the option of choosing between camp or condo accommodations. To foster an intimate atmosphere and a sense of camaraderie, each camp is limited to 15 riders.
Bikers interested in reserving a spot at the camps should contact Western Spirit Cycling at 800-845-2453, or visit www.alisondunlap.com. The 2004 season dates are as follows:
