Temecula race promoter: Robert Herber holds a prerace riders meeting.

Other than building a ride park with Eric Carter, Robert races

professionally for Intense.

 

Holeshot: Chuck Jenkins throttles off the line. Robert Herber is on the

far left, Hal Helbock is next to Robert, and Sean Donovan is on

Chuck's left.

 

Cash spot: KHS-Cytomax rider Chuck Jenkins kept on the gas and was

first to the little riser in trail that is known as the official

Holeshot Hot Spot.

 

Later: Chuck Jenkins, Sean Donovan and Robert Herber down the new

trail between Dam Road and Marine Corp. After one lap Robert had to

quit to run his own race!
 

Team against team: Chuck Jenkins leads Sean Donovan as they head out of

the main venue for lap #2. Sean waited 1 more lap before making his

move and gapping Chuck.
 

Freeze frame fright: Expert Josh Williams was so excited after his

picture was taken that he blew the following corner and nearly killed Robert

Herber's dad Erich. 

 

Shop owners who race: Dennis Leiker of Redhawk Bikes donated Shop Gift

Cards of $25, $20 and $10 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

 

Team sweep: The powerhouse KHS/Cytomax team of Sean Donovan, Chuck

Jenkins and Hal Helbock took the top 3 spots.

Card, cash, and KHS Dollars.

 

The best part: The post race BBQ is a favorite. Kathy Herber (her hand) is known

worldwide for making killer Hamburgers!
