2006 brings even more good news to fans of North America?s biggest, best and most comprehensive mountain bike series ? here at MSC HQ we?re pleased to announce an expansion of our partnership with Yeti Cycles of Golden Colorado. This newly expanded relationship is sure to provide even more incredible support and service to the racing community. With seven world-class venues in 2006, the MSC again brings the best racing in the country to the Central Rockies. Our 2006 venues read as a wish list for mountain bike zealots with stops in Angel Fire, NM, and Crested Butte, Nathrop, Nederland, Snowmass, Telluride and Keystone, Colorado. As always, racers are welcome to participate in individual events or the entire series.
From first-timers to World Champions, the MSC offers something for everyone. On the XC side events include Cross Country, Hill Climbs and Short Tracks. For the gravity crowd we?ve got Downhill, Mountain Cross and Dual-Slalom disciplines on deck. Most venues also offer Super D, a new event combining the best of both gravity and endurance genres. Series Champions will be crowned in Cross Country, Gravity and Super D at the Series Finale Keystone Climax in Keystone CO, on Sept 2-4. ?I?ve raced at the big classics, the nationals and even the Masters Worlds and I can say the Mountain States Cup ranks up there in terms of course quality, professionalism, and overall fun factor? says Lee McCormack a world class cyclist and founder of Leelikesbikes.com
Mountain States Cup events are more than just competitions, there?s cycling fun for the whole family. Many of the top manufactures in the bicycle industry will be present at each event for product sampling and demonstrations. Each event hosts free kids races, raffles, nightly parties and live music.
