"We've added some excitement to Michigan's premier grassroots racing series by introducing a new race at Maybury State Park, an endurance race at Boyne Mountain, and new series sponsors REI, Gary Fisher Bicycles, and Hammer Products," says Cris Cataldo, Championship Point Series (CPS) Marketing Director. "The 2006 CPS will continue to generate major funding for MMBA advocacy work and trail improvements."
The 2006 CPS is comprised of six races, with racers' best five finishes counting towards their final ranking. To be in the series, racers must be current MMBA members and pay a five dollar CPS registration fee. To be eligible for a series trophy, racers must start a minimum of four events.
Note that racers do not have to be MMBA member or pay the CPS fee to do any individual race, however they will not be ranked in the CPS nor be eligible for a year end CPS award.
