2005 MAXXIS TEAM ROSTER--FEB 8

Maxxis announces that not only will they retain Geoff Kabush, Colin Bailey and John Kirkcaldie, but have also added Mathieu Toulouse. As you will see from the rider's list of accomplishments, this could very well be the smartest team on the circuit.

GEOFF KABUSH (Canada): NORBA National Mountain Bike Series XC and ST Champion, World Championship XC Team Relay Champion, Canadian Cyclocross National Championship. Kabush's second job is as a mechanical engineer, sometimes even working for the Maxxis R&D department. This is his second year on the Maxxis team.

COLIN BAILEY: 5th in the Calgary, BC World Cup downhill, 4th in the Sea Otter Classic downhill. Bailey has ridden for Maxxis for five years and helped them design the Minion DHF and the Ranchero tires.

JOHN KIRKCALDIE (New Zealand): NORBA NMBS Downhill #4, 6th in the Calgary World Cup downhill, New Zealand National DH Champion. Kirkcaldie is also returning for his fifth year on the team.

MATHIEU TOULOUSE (Canada): 6th in the final Sea Otter Classic XC General Classification, 8th at the Tour de Okinawa road race. Toulouse earned a law degree in 1999 and is known as the fastest lawyer on two wheels.
