Precious seconds: Ellsworth pro Robert Herber finished just 5 seconds off Bierman's time. When he's not racing Robert runs a weekly XC and SD series at Vail Lake.
Intercity: SoCal Specialized's Waylon Smith was the only other rider to finish on the same minute as Bierman. Waylon is racing XC, SD and DH over the Winter Series weekends.
Number 1: Steven K Racing's Michelle Rivera is the Super D woman to beat at Southridge. This weekend's track climbed next to the DH course before dropping down the backside XC trail.
Remember when?: The SD ended at the original DH finish on the backside culvert straight. Janice Manahl, Michelle Rivera and Kim Finch from left to right.
Jack of all trades: Do-it-all downhill, cross-country, marathon and Super D rider Chuck Hamm started his 2008 campaign with a big win in the Expert class.
