 Recover: Vail Lake's Robert Herber came from midpack to lead, flat and then ride back into 2nd place and 80 seconds behind Valadez.  Team PossAbilities: Charley Ducsay moved up to Sport for 2008. Charles has finished on the Beginner Podium at both Southridge Norba Nationals.  Downhill start: Donny Jackson briefs the Super D riders on the new Super D course. Each round of the Winter Series uses a vastly different SD run.
 MBA tester: Pro Waylon Smith didn't race the morning XC and concentrated on the SD. It paid off with his first SD win of 2008.  3 for 3: Steven K's Michelle Rivera still leads the Women's SD charge. Here Michelle drops down the fast singletrack off Sandbag Hill.
 Motocross on mind: Even backing into the inside-inside line wasn't enough to help MBA's Eddie Arnet finish better than 3rd.
 Super D Expert Podium: Stephen Smith, Joe Simpson, Eddie Arnet, Jason Simpson and Andy Lightle. Forty-five seconds separated the top 5.  Midcourse 4X corner: Chad Lorrain leads Ryan Condrashoff (X-Fusion) and Evelio Suarez. Chad was the top 4X rider at Winter Series #3.  Lower 4X jumps: X-Fusion's John Hauer leads Daniel Cortina of the namesake Cortina Bicycles brand. The 4X brings action up close and home.
 Upper-mid 4X course: Sport winner Lee Bower brings it on home while Richard Robbins and Jason Schulz trail behind.  Gate to come: A rubber band start was used with a new cement launch pad. MBA's Ryan Cleek, Dakota Dulmage and Mike Crusmano blast off.  Close contact: Martha Saldana, Britney The Enforcer Jackson (pink), Joy Martin (27), Leslie Slagle (hidden) and Brittany Spaulding (28).
 "I was this high...": Rich Houseman listens in astonishment as 20- month-old Tanner Jackson explains how he just cleared the doubles.  80 degrees in the shade: Riders wait in the shade below the new rock section that looped up and over the former Cal State rock garden.  Blurred senses: Adrian Thome flashes past the big water tank at mid hill. Race #3 Southridge sent riders across the hill on the Cal State course.  Best line The hot way through the rock garden was to stay high and cut down the middle like 18- Sport rider Garrett Robles.
 Sigh of relief: Jake Payne, 11th best 18- Expert, pops out of the rocks and only has the 15' rock drop-off remaining.
